Alex Tigchelaar

Alex Tigchelaar is an interdisciplinary artist, activist, PhD candidate and researcher. Since 2000, she has created plays, burlesque, film, street performance and conceptual art that centre both the histories and presence of sex workers. She is currently producing a SSHRC-funded podcast called Nous sommes toujours là, which investigates what women who worked in Montreal's sex trade from the 1970s to the early 2000s know about its built environment.
