This video by Mario Jean is from the evening of May 1st in Montreal.
A day of actions across Quebec had already concluded. All that remained was the evening protest, organized by CLAC in Montreal.
The intensity was palpable as the protest reunited in different parts of the city and was attacked in all cases within minutes.
Tear gas hung over the streets within minutes, but the dispersion efforts of the SPVM and SQ simply created multiple groups which did not stop regrouping and retaking the street despite the violent repression.
