VIDEO: 25,000 strong for the climate

The 100% Possible demonstration was one of the largest in Ottawa’s history

On Sunday, Nov. 29, over 25,000 people marched under the banner of 100% Possible. They were calling for a transition to 100 per cent clean energy by 2050, and hoping to put pressure on the new Trudeau government as it headed off to international climate talks.

The attendance, verified by an independent statistician, makes it the largest climate protest in Ottawa history, and one of the largest protests of any kind ever held in the city.

Here’s what it looked like.
