Maya Menezes is a community organizer, journalist and student based in Toronto. With a spark for anything intersectional to race, gender, class and the environment, Maya is currently in equity and environmental studies at U of T. At 23 years old, she’s already worked with groups like Doctors Without Borders, Open Media, and Lead Now. Her current focus is supporting groups fighting for environmental justice, Indigenous sovereignty and undocumented persons.
