Is there any reason to save the senate? What, if any, is the history, especially recent, of the senate actually functioning as a sober second look... Have we changed or stopped anything through senate action? Has the senate sent anything back with orders to revise, and has that worked? Are we actually at the mercy of a majority government? Will we be safe with just the Supreme Court to defend us after the fact? Is that what we have, in reality, as things stand, or, should we save the senate?
