Last week NDP leader Jagmeet Singh released the New Deal for the People (NDP), an agenda that builds on the party’s recent Green New Deal announcement by offering a plan to fight for social, economic, and environmental justice.

Specifically, the New Deal outlines a plan for head to toe medical coverage, including dental, visual, and pharmacare, all paid for through a bold plan to raise taxes on the rich through capital gains increases and the imposition of a wealth tax of 1% on those with 20 million or more.
