Ricochet was founded in 2014 as a national public interest media outlet, in an era of crisis for media outlets of all kinds. Almost two years later, the outlet is still alive and kicking, and expanding into new ventures like podcasting and short video reports on Facebook.

In today’s episode two of the co-founders, Gabrielle Brassard-Lecours from the French edition and Ethan Cox from the English edition, discuss what it’s like to found a media outlet, what issues with the mainstream media motivated them to take such a seemingly crazy risk and what a day in the life of a Ricochet editor looks like.
